Over a dining hall dinner this past weekend, I asked the choral director if there were going to be any opportunities for the “old” people to sing with the students. In the past, we have joined the choir for the Hallelujah Chorus. And one Christmas, Coach (he’s a baritone/bass) and I joined the director and lovely Hungarian mezzo for a quartet. This year, he is planning a joint performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria with the school orchestra. I’m so excited to sing it again! Once upon a time, I sang all the soprano solos. It is such a beautiful piece of music!
So whether you appreciate baroque music or not,
I encourage you to take a listen to a bit of this glorious music!
May this week be dedicated to God’s glory!
