Lions and Bears and God

When the young shepherd David was convincing King Saul he could defeat mighty Goliath, he recounted his protection of the flock from lions and bears. He said,

The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. (I Samuel 17:37 NIV)

David was right!

God was with him for the lions and the bears. And God was with him for Goliath.

How many times do we look at a situation and decide it is impossible?

We should not.

We should remember all the things we have already accomplished.

We should remind ourselves that God was with us then and God remains with us now.

~

When it comes down to it, the world is simply full of lions, bears, and God.

There are things we have overcome. And there is God to help us overcome the rest!

May we trust in God as we more forward!
